October Randomness...

The month of October was crazy busy! Between volleyball, girls weekend 2017, and Halloween festivities....wow is all I can say!
We started the month off by watching the Cowboy game at the Middleton's! It was right around Carter's birthday, so we had a little celebration!

And after the Riley's left to head home, Jamie and I felt the need to let Sarah know that if she still lived in the 'hood that she could still be drinking on the back porch with us instead of driving to Granbury!! (because we are thoughtful like that)
Since October was breast cancer awareness month, I had Catrena make the girls and I some new shirts!! Brenna had outgrown hers from 3 years ago, and mine was looking pretty rough. I also wanted something that said that she was now our angel watching over us.
I absolutely loved them!!! But when I wore mine, I got so many people giving me looks of pity. Seriously?! I never asked for pity. And my intent was not to get people to say "oh I am so sorry. That is so sad." My intent was to honor my Mama! The truth is that she IS an angel. She fought with all she had. And she didn't win this side of heaven. BUT I will never let her be forgotten!! I absolutely LOVE the shirts, and in my opinion they honor my Mama in a wonderful way.

The girls and I went to a WHS volleyball game one Friday night. They enjoyed it a lot! Then we went to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. I wanted to snap a picture to send to Josh of his girls.....but this is what I got...
They are goof balls for sure!!! Luckily they finally cooperated and let me get a good picture!
Much better!!
Josh and I finally decided we needed to bite the bullet and get a king size bed. We were in need of a new mattress, and have been wanting a king bed for a long time! So we headed over to Nebraska furniture mart one Saturday after volleyball. All I can say about that store is HOLY MOLY it is big!!!
The girls enjoyed testing out the mattress we picked!
And after lots of discussion we finally picked a bed! Finding one to match our current bedroom suit was tough, but I think we did a good job!
After the bed was chosen we went looking around and trying out recliners. I sat down next to Josh in a HUGE two person recliner and tried to convince him that was the one we needed....you know- so we could CUDDLE more often! I think his face sums up his opinion on that...
On our way out, they had a breast cancer ribbon for photo ops. Of course the girls had to jump in!

Nebraska furniture made for a fun family day out! We enjoyed walking around, and then enjoyed a fun dinner together before heading back home. I absolutely love spending entire days with my favorite 3 people!

We took our FCCLA kids to the state fair! It's always a fun, but tiring day! Making sure you have this many kids accounted for is no joke! At least I got to spend the day eating and laughing with the best FCS team there is!

Because.....COTTON CANDY!!!
When our new bed came in, we decided that Macie could have our old one. It matched her furniture perfectly, and it gave us another big bed for if we have company. We moved the beds around the night before ours got there, but we still needed our mattress. SO- we improvised! Nothing says red neck quite like a twin mattress on a queen frame!

Well- except for a mattress on the floor!
But the next day our new one came in, and I am totally in love!!!
Dad and Kathy once again gave us Six Flags Season passes for Christmas, but they had to give them to us early because they had to be activated in October to get upgraded to gold. SO we made an afternoon of it!
Taking a selfie on the Gun Slinger is a must!

We all rode the new Joker ride. It was a little much for Brenna and Macie. (and possibly me too)
That evening we went to Pops and Memaw's for dinner! Walker and Wyatt helped Uncle Josh start the fire.
This face!! I was late getting home one afternoon and she asked me where I had been. I told her I had to run by Mrs. Sara's house to pick up a pillow she got for me. OOPS! I should know better than to tell Macie that I went to see HER Mrs. Sara without her!!
But I made it up to her by taking the girls to the high school volleyball game that same week.....where we met her Mrs. Sara! And Mrs. Sara brought Libby (her neighbor) with her. I think the game interested Macie and Libby for about a good 3 minutes. They soon resorted to eating M&M's and playing on the ipad!

Sweet girls!
Brenna and Macie had pink out day at their school and got to wear their new MeMawMom shirts!
We had volleyball pictures done. I love these two pretty girls beyond belief!!
