This kid cracks me up...

Brenna is always coming up with something off the wall that cracks me up. This week is no exception. This is the paper I found in her folder last night. Pay attention to the illustration..... 

Summer 2013

I learned a valuable lesson recently.... that pictures on your phone aren't there forever. Oh how I wish I had been blogging all summer so that my pictures weren't GONE. :( So my new resolution is to restart my blog. (again) (for like the 3rd time) haha! Hopefully I can find a groove to make this easier. I really want to be able to remember the little things. Things like this conversation the other night... Macie and Brenna come through the living room. Macie: "We are playing school. And I am the teacher." Brenna: "What are we doing today Miss Macie?" Macie: "No. You call me Santa Claus." Seriously, where does she come up with this stuff!!! So- Our summer. Not sure where to even begin. But I am going to give it a shot. We had the BEST summer. I called it the "No regrets summer". We went and had fun all summer long. Many of the "summer to do list items" got pushed aside and still weren't done when school started back, but that's ok! I enjoyed my family, and that is what matters. It has been driven into my head the last year and a half that time and memory making is what matters. I will probably have to break this into a couple of posts, but let's see how this goes! Hang on!! Our summer started out with a last day of school picture that made me realize how much my babies had grown! 

It still blows me away how much they grew! 

Next up on our list was the hardest thing we did all summer- say good bye to Alessa. She was Kim's foreign exchange student from Germany that quickly became a part of our family. The girls ADORE Alessa!!!! It was the hardest thing in the world to watch Brenna cry all the way home because she didn't want Alessa to leave. Broke my Mommy heart!!!! 

Only a few days later, we left for summer vacation. We headed to Destin Florida. BEST. VACATION. EVER!!! I found this note written on a package of crayons. Cracked me up!! 

It says "macie if you get to this ur gunna liv in the bac yard". Guess she meant business!!! 

Our first stop was in Monroe LA to visit Duck Dynasty. Macie wasn't much into pictures this day. 

Then we continued on to Mobile!! It was awesome to get to spend 2 days with the Holts!!! Grayson was a favorite with the girls, as always! 

We even got to make a trip to the dairy farm. I thought it was WAY COOL! Brenna took one look around and said "I don't think I like milk anymore." Haha! We also got to play with the baby calves! 

On our last night there, we made a 9pm run to Krispy Kreme. Mmmmm!!!! My kids had never been to a Krispy Kreme! They were in awe. And super excited when we got a hot one to eat right then!! It was definitely an experience. 

Cousin love!!!! Oh how I wish we lived closer!!!
