Macie's Party!

With life getting more and more hectic, Macie's party had to be put off until the end of May. But as long as she got a party- she was happy! I am so thankful for our "go with the flow" kiddo!
Her request was for a party at the park and a "My Mrs. Sara cake". That I can do!!
I tried to make the Mrs. Sara cake look a little festive, but I think she would have been happy with it even if it had been plain. This child loves her some chocolate sheet cake!
She told me it was "almost as good as My Mrs. Sara's!" gee- thanks! LOL!
We tried to keep it simple. Pizza, Cake, and friends! And Macie Claire was in heaven!!
Someone had a volleyball net set up at the park but they weren't using it yet. SO these volleyball loving girls took advantage!

Oh how she loves her some Z and Peanut!

And they love her too!

Big sisters gotta have fun too!

"If I hold both of Macie's hands, then no one else can hold her hand!" ~Z

Brenna will do in a pinch, but she much prefers her Macie.

So many friends! So much love!

Our precious 7 year old.

She was SO happy about this game!

Maylee knows the way to her heart....Peppa!

Her most favorite gift....a Dairy Queen gift card!

And then the highlight of her day was that she got to go to Makayla's for her very first real sleepover! She's been to Maylee's and Tia's.... but this one was with a friend from school instead of a family friend. She LOVED it! Mama? Well I had a little harder time letting my baby go! But in the end- I didn't shed any tears. So I was proud of myself! ha!
Such sweet friends!

Mother's Day activities

We were blessed to be invited to join  Kathy at their church for the Mother's day banquet this year. The girls weren't so impressed with the fancy food (ha!), but they enjoyed getting all dressed up and hanging out with Mrs. Jackie, Mrs. Kathy, Memaw and Aunt Emily! Oh- and ME!

And on Mother's day- we got to hang out with Pops, Memaw and the Popes at our house!

I think that Mother's Day will always be tough for me. I miss my Mama. And I feel like I got cheated out of so many Mother's day's with her. But I am so blessed to have so many wonderful women in my life, like the ones pictured above, to help me through the hard days. AND I am the Mama to the two most amazing little girls ever!!!! They make my heart so full. And they remind me that even though I don't get to spend Mother's day with my Mama, that I can still feel her presence when I look at her two favorite little girls!

Relay for Life Wrap-Up

Relay for life was so much fun this year! And Brenna couldn't wait for the wrap-up party!
She got an award for top fundraising youth!

And since the weather turned bad on the day of relay- they had to postpone the luminary lap as well as the slide show. I was so glad that we got to participate in these!
While walking the luminary lap- we spotted this!
Yall- my Mama heart melted (and rolled down my cheeks)! We have no idea who did this for her- but it was amazing.
And then the slide show started. I knew I had put in Brenna and Mom's picture... but seeing it on the screen got me. And I got overly emotional when I saw Brenna start to cry. The love in this little girl's heart for her MeMawMom is amazing!
I miss this amazing lady so much.

I am forever thankful that we were a part of Team Walk by Faith. Brenna had fun and learned a lot this year. But most of all- she learned what it is like to help. And she had a sense of what it is like to help others selflessly. She is going to do great things, and I can't wait to sit back and watch how God uses her.

Happy 7th Birthday Macie!

And just like that... I blinked again and my baby is another year older! How on earth did it happen?
The day before her birthday, I wanted to go and take her lunch to make her day a little extra special since we had to go to Brenna's Relay for Life celebration the night of birthday.
And to make it EXTRA EXTRA special- I brought along her mostest favorite person...Mrs. Sara!
And Mrs. Sara brought her a cupcake! Macie Claire is one loved little girl!! I am blessed to have friends in my life that love my kiddos so much.

We started her special day just like we do all of the other ones...
A decorated door!

And a powdered donut "cake" tower with a candle!

She was thrilled to FINALLY get to open her birthday card from her Mimi that had been sitting on the counter since we got home from El Reno.
Daddy gave her some morning birthday spankings.
And since we had a busy afternoon, she got to open her birthday present from Mommy and Daddy that morning.
A new scooter!!!
Goodness-I can't believe how big she is getting!
After school, we went out to eat at El Fenix for her birthday dinner. Pops had to work, but thankfully Memaw got to meet us for dinner. And she brought a balloon and flowers for her Macie Bell.
Brenna and I left as soon as we ate so that we could make it to her Relay celebration (next post). But Macie got to enjoy her dinner with her Daddy and Memaw, and then she got to Pops and Memaw's house for a bit while Josh joined Brenna and I.
I'd say it was a good day for a wonderful little girl!
Macie Claire,
You are such a joy in our lives. You have the best little smile and the most contagious laugh. You are the perfect mix of sweet and ornery. You can turn on the charm at any moment, and you can turn it off and switch to mischievous just as quickly. You still love to snuggle with Mommy, and I pray you always will. Baby dolls are your favorite toy, and Peppa Pig is your favorite show. Maylee is still your BFF, but you will settle for playing with Brenna when Maylee isn't available! For the most part, you and Brenna get along pretty well. But there are days when you can fight until Daddy and I want to run away!!
We love you so much Claire Bear! I am so thankful that God placed you in our family. You complete us in the most perfect way!
