Easter- Friday and Saturday

The He is Risen! 

We had a great Easter weekend. It started with Easter parties, but I will blog about those after I get the pictures from Nina. :)

On Friday night Josh and the girls colored eggs. Since the first year Brenna could dye eggs, this has been his job! He enjoys it, and I enjoy documenting it in pictures! Ha! 

The girls colored on a few eggs to add to the decoration. 

This was Brenna's creation.....

That, my friends, is Jesus on the cross! I was in tears. I love her sweet heart. 

These 3 are my life! My heart in one picture. I never dreamed life could be this good. 

He's such a great Daddy. 

And after the egg coloring was complete, it was time for ice cream!! 

After the girls went to bed, the Easter bunny came!! When your Daddy has to work on Easter, the bunny visits early! :) 

You better bet that these girls were up bright and early to check things out! 

Brenna got Saved my the Bell the complete series! 

And Macie got a Minnie Mouse movie! 

Her face and hair tell the story of just how EARLY it really was! 

After Easter baskets, we started our Saturday with our Quail Springs Ranch egg hunt. The girls look forward to it each year. I am so thankful that we live in this neighborhood. Our kids are so lucky to have this opportunity. 

It was a small group this year due to ball games. 

But there was still plenty of fun to be had! 

And eggs to hunt! 

These are smiles of little girls having FUN! The giggles warmed my heart! 

And no QSR egg hunt is complete without the annual picture on the rock!

I can't believe how much my babies have grown!! 

After naps, we headed over to Pops and Memaw's. A Jackson family gathering always provides lots of laughs and a fun time! But I'm not gonna lie- I was nervous. Not about being with everyone, because I LOVE this crazy group of people! But because I didn't know how it was going to feel without Mom there. 

Mom and Dad always joined us for Jackson family gatherings. And Dad was coming this year. But there was an obvious hole when we all joined hands to pray. I felt a big void. I missed her so much. But I made it. I put on my smile, and I did it. But not without an ache in my heart. 

This guy right here. He gets me through the hard moments. Even when I know those moments are hard for him too. I love him so. And am blessed that he's my Daddy. 

The annual cousin egg hunt was a huge success! I love to watch these 3 have fun together! 

The eggs were all o error back yard, and there were only 3 of them. But they ran like there was a ton of competition and only a few eggs! I loved it! 

Aunt Jana got the girls some huge eggs!!

My girls went straight for the hard boiled eggs! They love love hard boiled eggs! 

Oh these two..... They are gonna be trouble! 

Next up was a little kite flying with new kites from Aunt Sue! 

And after dinner, everyone scattered to continue talking and laughing. I just stood and watched and soaked it in. 

And some are so much they needed a nap! Lol! 

The evening ended up with a dance party by Hanna, Brenna, Wyatt, Macie, and Emily! I laughed so hard! It was too dark for pictures though. 

These boys stayed as far away from the music chosen by the teenager as they could! 

And Brenna wore herself out and needed some Memaw cuddles! 

It ended up being a great evening. I shed a few tears, but that's ok! Tears are cleansing to the sole. It made me feel better to get rid of the sadness. And helped me move on and enjoy.
