Yesterday morning, I mentioned to Brenna that we needed to get her hair cut. She began the usual protesting. Then I had an idea! (Don't be shocked- it happens occasionally!) I asked her if she would like to DONATE her hair! I explained that that's how they make wigs for people with cancer. She perked up and said "Like MeMawMom!" Then she beamed from ear to ear and said "yes! Can we cut it today?!" She was all over it! So I did some research and facebook questioning and found out that we can donate it to The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders! Then they donate it directly to the Careity foundation, who helped Mom out. This whole thing just got better and better! And to top it off, she could donate it in memory of MeMawMom! I had one happy little girl on my hands!
So last night we washed, conditioned, and blow dried! And took pictures of course!
Then the chopping began.

I can't wait to take her up to donate it. But that will have to be next week. :)

Words can't express how proud I am of this little girl. She did NOT want a hair cut. But when she found out about donating it, she was all for it and never changed her mind! I am so glad that she can do something to honor her MeMawMom. I think this will be good for her.
