Disney 2016- Travel Day

June 20, 2016- The day had finally arrived! It was time to head to Disney World!! We had planned, planned some more, discussed our options, set meal destinations, shopped, packed, and gotten monogrammed shirts with matching bows! (well- to clarify...the KIDS had gotten monogrammed shirts with matching bows! I couldn't talk Josh into wearing a monogrammed shirt...party pooper!) So it seemed as if we were as ready as we were going to be- Ready or not...Here we go!

Why yes, that's Jake's ear you see sticking up in my lap! We hadn't dropped him off at Aunt Kim's yet!

To say that first day was long is an understatement. We needed to make it to the other side of the Mobile tunnel before we stopped. So it was a long day of nothing but driving. The kids did really well considering they were stuck in the car all day. It probably helped that we had every snack and electronic known to man back there as well as a dvd player! These kids have N0 IDEA how good they have it. When I was there age, I spent road trips like this in the back seat with nothing but my Sony walkman (and every Dolly cassette tape I owned). True story. I spent all of my time rewinding so that I could learn every word to the songs I didn't know.... ANYWAY.......

I had no idea that pumpkins were so religious. I always pictured them to be non-denominational.

Due to traffic and detours, we didn't get to our hotel room until after 10pm. By 9:30, this was the sight in the back seat..

The princess had had all she could handle! And her Mama and Daddy too. I was SO ready to be out of that car!!! I never knew that sitting and doing nothing could be so exhausting.
I'm pretty sure the girls were asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow in the hotel room!
And I'd like to say that our car time had come to an end that night- but we still had another 8 hours the next day to get to Disney......
