Mother's Day with Memaw

On Friday night, Josh, I, the girls, Emily, and the boys (Joey was working), went over to hang out at Pops and Memaw's for Mother's Day celebrations. I always look forward to any reason that takes to Pops and Memaw's back porch for some family time. It never disappoints! And this time was no exception.
Josh did our dinner planning and opted for cheese, crackers, fruit, and WINE! My favorite meal!! It was so yummy!!
My "Mommy's sippy cup" made the perfect addition to our wine and cheese night! Thanks Sarah Riley!
I finally got in some cuddle time with this cutie pie!
Things have been crazy busy since he was born, and his Aunt Jen just hadn't gotten in enough cuddle time! It did my heart good to get in some Walker time!
We thoroughly enjoy any time that we can sit around on the patio and visit. It's kind of our favorite thing. And when your inlaws are as awesome as mine- well- you just enjoy being around them!! I can't imagine having family that you don't enjoy being around and spending time with. Josh and I were very blessed in that department. Our parents are some of our best friends! We've always enjoyed spending time with Mike and Becky, and Mom and Dad, and now Kathy and Dad. God sure knew we would need lots of love and support on this crazy wild ride called life!
Memaw wasn't too thrilled at my need for a group selfie.... sorry boutcha bad luck! :)
The 3 big kids had a blast playing together! Brenna played for a long time, and then finally ended up in the living room watching tv. But Macie and Wyatt played their little hearts out! They played so hard they broke the big wheel in half!!
Walker was obviously thrilled beyond belief with our entertaining and stimulating conversation at the "adult table". He could hardly contain his excitement.
And this next picture sums up the most "adventurous" event of the night. Picture this scene pictured, but Macie is driving and Wyatt is on the front facing backwards. And they start off down the hill at Pops and Memaw's as Macie yells "hang on Wyatt!" Followed quickly by Emily saying "We're going to the hospital tonight!"
Her future is so bright she needs her sunshades at 10pm!
Luckily no one was injured. No children were rushed to the hospital. And the parent's nerves....well, they remained as in tact as they ever are.
It was a wonderful night of just visiting and relaxing. Thanks Pops and Memaw!!!!
