Golden Paw Award and Movie Friday!

Brenna's teacher texted me a week ago letting me know that she was getting the Golden Paw award in her class this six weeks, but that she didn't want Brenna to know. So I went to work trying to figure out how to manage to be there during the middle of one of my classes. It seems like these things always happened last year when I could be there with no problem. And this year- everything has happened when I have a class. Guess that's just how it works. But luckily, I work with some wonderful people who will cover my classes so that I can go and be there for the girls! Carolyn was my hero on this day...as well as most other days!
I loved the look on Brenna's face when she saw me there. It was worth all the hoops I had to jump through to make it happen.
First up, she got the perfect attendance award and the A/B honor roll award! It was her first B ever, but I was still very proud of her. Happens to all of us! (ok ok- happened to me A LOT.... but that's beside the point...)

Then they announced the Golden Paw award recipients. This six weeks it was chosen for Leadership. Yep- that's my Brenna Grace! I was one proud Mommy!!

Friday night we had a special evening planned. Aunt Kim and Nina came over to watch Annie! Neither of them had ever seen it, which just blew me away! I thought everyone had seen the original Annie! Mom and I used to watch it all the time. I MAY have even owned the soundtrack....
Aunt Kim and Nina brought Pizza Place pizza and salad to start off our evening. Yummy! And then we all settled in for our movie.
Aunt Kim had two little cuddle buddies.
Abby and Jake were my cuddle partners.

I don't think Aunt Kim and Nina realized JUST how much I love the movie Annie.... until I started quoting it and singing along....with every song....at the top of my lungs. oops. I MAY have even broken out into dance a few times. I can not confirm nor deny.
It was a great evening, and we had a blast hanging with Aunt Kim and Nina!!
