The following weekend was another fun filled one!
Friday night was spent with steaks, adult beverages on the back porch, and GRADDY! Doesn't get much better than that to close out a week! But...pictures??? What pictures??? Oh well....
On Saturday, Josh set a large brush pile on fire to get rid of it and needed me outside in case he needed help. So I set the girls up to paint since it is their FAVORITE thing to do! After they finished, I thought "I'll paint their faces!" They love to have their faces painted, and I knew we were going to be showering soon anyway. So I pulled up an internet picture of a butterfly and attempted it with the colors I had out already.
Yep- I'd say I nailed it!!
Poor kids.
That night, Emily put together an evening at the winery for Becky's birthday. Elvis was the entertainment. :) Josh decided to join in on the fun (he really just went for the wine and cigar), so we dropped the girls off with Aunt Kim for the evening and had us a little date! It was a fun time just visiting and sipping wine. Josh and I eventually left and went to eat dinner. But again... Pictures??? Geez. I gotta step up my game!
On Sunday, the girls and I went to hang out with Aunt Kim for the afternoon.
First stop- Mommy's nails!! We sent this picture to Aunt Jana who was walking in the Susan Koman 3 day in honor of our MeMawMom. We were telling her how much we love her and how proud of her we are!
She has no idea how many tears I cried knowing she was doing that for my Mama.
From there we picked up Aunt Kim and went to lunch and to WalMart.
I was shopping for some stuff for the girls, and found these on my phone later......
Never leave your phone unattended when these two crazies are around!!
Monday night, we went to Pops and Memaw's for dinner to celebrate Memaw's birthday with the kiddos.
No celebration with kids around is complete without cake and candles, and Aunt Emily did an amazing job picking this one out!! Other than the BLUE ICING! yuck. This chick doesn't do blue icing. Luckily my children have a cool Aunt Emily, or they would never get to experience the joys that come from eating blue or black icing and showing everyone your teeth! ha! I guess that's what aunts are for. (Sorry Wyatt- I will teach you other fun things.... but the joys of blue or black icing will not be one of them!)
Her 3 biggest fans all loved singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Memaw and helping her blow out her candles!
Before we cut the cake, I made Pops and Memaw pose for a picture with their grands! But with Wyatt Pope..... good pictures are hard to come by!
Luckily we did manage one good one!
Happy Birthday Memaw! We are all so lucky to have you as a part of our lives. You bless us in more ways than you could ever know. Love you so much!!!!
